Around 1000 girls admitted to schools under the campaign Beti Bachao Beti Padhao
The campaign ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ has taken a step further by admitting around 1,000 girl children to schools in east Delhi recently. The schools in context are EDMC schools and these girl children would be provided education free of cost under the PM Modi’s favorite campaign Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.
Under the aegis of BJP National Secretary and Minister from East Delhi, Mahesh Giri, the girl child from economically underprivileged sections of society were picked to be admitted to the government schools. This is certainly not an easy job for the ministry, the EDMC teachers or the office of East Delhi Member of Parliament. They had to go door to door in order to convince the parents to send their girl child to the school under the prestigious campaign.
These selected 1,000 girl children would not only be getting free education in EDMC schools but also getting free stationary and other education related facilities. To mark the campaign as a formal commencement, the minister said that this is just a start and this would be followed by similar campaign in other areas of the capital territory.
It is noteworthy to mention here that the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign is a priority campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is carried out nationwide. The respective states are taking every step to bring forward the fate of girl child in the country.
Girls are making their mark in almost every sphere in India today. However, it is again a reality that female children from economically backward families are still lagging too behind. It is high time that the society and the government collectively understands that unless we are able to bring forward our female population as a secure and developed individual, we are not going to grow either as a society or as a nation.
